Guitar Lessons St Louis

3 Things to Know Before Choosing Where to Get

Guitar Lessons in St Louis

There are three often overlooked and specific things to look for that make a HUGE difference when learning to play guitar.

Being unaware of these usually leads to a waste of time and money, becoming a source of frustration instead of accomplishment- but that doesn't need to happen to you.

3 Characteristics Your Guitar Teacher Must Have

1) Makes it Enjoyable

Don't get the kind of instructor who quietly sits in a room handing you dry pointers.

This is about music and music is about expression! Your teacher should love it enough to bring a piece of themselves to the interaction.

Having some fun in the process will have you looking forward to the next session- and the continuation of that is what brings you into a level of playing that inspires you and others.

2) Knows How to TEACH, Not Just Play Well

This is a big one and not being aware of it has discouraged many aspiring musicians. It's often assumed that if someone can play the guitar well they can help you get there as well.

This is a myth that can cost you plenty-unless you avoid it. An accomplished guitarist and a good teacher are very different things.  Never confuse the two.

3) Is Someone Who Cares

It's true. There are plenty of guitar studios that just want to fill their rooms with any guitarist who will show up and pass the time without too many complaints.

If you're lucky, you might get one of the better teachers.

If you're smart, you'll choose a St Louis lesson source that's known for higher standards and better results.

Bob Lucas Guitar Studios puts all of this together so you are much more likely to get the results you want while enjoying the experience.
